Exhibition text: "In Kim´s animated works the spectator meets bodies of animals and humans, that appear to be stuck in repetitive movements. These movements are often based on instruction videos from YouTube, where the "correct way" to perform a certain action is demonstrated.
By animating drawn figures on top of the filmed bodies, various parts of the original video material is deformed or hidden. He describes this as a method to explore bodies in motion, away from their proper visual context. The animations can oscillate between absurd dances and poetic or metaphorical acts. "
